Hi, I’m Anita O’Brien — founder of Beehive Candle Co., tech professional by day and candle-maker by heart.
What began as a quiet act of self-care after my toddler’s bedtime became something more: a love letter to motherhood, nature, and slow, intentional living. I chose beeswax for its purity, its natural beauty, and its connection to the earth — and to the bees, who quietly teach us about sustainability and community.
Every candle I pour is rooted in those values: clean ingredients, gentle scents, and a respect for what we leave behind. As a mother, I wanted something safe for my home. As a maker, I wanted it to feel like a ritual. Beehive Candle Co. is my way of lighting the path forward — one golden flame at a time.
I make these candles the way I parent: with care, patience, and a deep belief that what we nurture now shapes the world our children will grow up in.
